We are looking for smart and generous souls who have the time and willingness to help our immigrant neighbors learn English, computer skills, and or can help translate documents. We will help you be ready to give a gift no one can take away from our neighbors...education and empowerment

  • ESL/TESOL Instructors: Persons 19 years old or older who are generous with their time and able to commit to a 12-week program, two days a week, 2.5 hours per day. Persons will lead or assist in the delivery of ESL classes level 1 or 2. Schedules are morning (8:30 am to 10:30 am OR 10:30 am to 12:30 pm), the early evening (6 pm to 8 pm OR 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm) and Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm. Instructors are expected to attend two or three workshops on adult literacy.
  • Computer Skills Instructors: Persons 19 years old or older who are generous with their time. Must be able to commit to teach ONE or ALL of the computer skills sessions: 5 weeks of MSWord, 4 weeks of Excel, 4 weeks of PowerPoint, and or 5 weeks of Internet Navigation. Schedule is Fridays from 9 am to 10:30 am.
  • Grant Writer: This is a wonderful opportunity for persons who like writing and enjoy their creative communication side. Support the fundraising efforts of the organization through grant research, proposal support, and donor management. Commitment to engage in close communication with paid and unpaid staff, recipients of services, and contact with potential donors. Time commitment of 6 weeks: 8 hours per week.
  • Social Media Intern: Assist with management of communication through social media, graphic design, and video development. Time commitment of 12 weeks: 3 days, 1.5 hour per day
